hot brown sugah opens her trap yet again
raya so far has been pretty quiet. we normaly go visiting on the 1st day and on the subsequent 2 or 3 days, my place would normally be under attack. however, its been pretty quiet. not many relatives coming over to visit... hhmmm...
on the other hand, i'm sick of the assumption that studying overseas is easy. sheesh! like bro would say, "yep! its easy allrite! easy to fail" to which i agree completely. i detest the "makcik" mentality that gettin ur education overseas is as simple as 1, 2,3 or A, B, C. why don't u try it for urself? oh! and the other disgusting mentality many people have is that as long as u have the money, u can buy ur degree overseas. wtf? if i have the money, i'd invest in other stuff rather than getting a degree. and! if i have the money, why is my father slogging his way chauffering his passengers while all he needs rite now is to take care of his health and retire?
please people, juz coz u don't study in the local uni doesn't mean that u're one of the leftovers of the academics okay. in fact, there're tonnes of ppl opting for an overseas educatioon to break away from the rigid education system here. yea they're implementing the new education system.. the path to take A levels straight away, IB, yada yada yada... but do u realise that these systems are targeted to give chances to the cream of the corp? and whatever happenned to being a wholerounded student where u excel in both academic and the sporting arena?
i do feel that we are becoming our own slaves.. we slave to our specialisation. talk to a doctor about fashion and what u get would be a blank stare. talk to a politician about the weather and he'll balme it on saddam. ask the maths teacher about simple geography and u'll get complicated calculations on how the govt charges u on ur utillity bills. aiyaiyai!
btw.. WELCOME HOME HAZMAN! for those still stuck away from home, enjoy the moment coz its only temporary. *wink*wink*
